I aim to utilise the therapeutic benefits of Massage Therapy with a focused, yet holistic approach, helping you prioritise and maintain your own health, recover from injury or assist in managing chronic pain. But most importantly, to keep you moving and feeling at your very best.
I began my massage training in 2004 in my previous role as a Beauty Therapist, providing Swedish Massage treatments to clients throughout the Scottish Borders. I went on to retrain and achieved my Diploma in Remedial and Sports Massage with Scottish Massage Schools in 2018.
Massage was always my favourite treatment (Beauty wasn’t really my thing!) and as a keen runner I was always interested in how I could combine my interests.
In 2015 I qualified as a Jog Leader with Scottish Athletics but I was still not really sure in which direction I was going. Marathon training, and the injuries that came with it fuelled my interest in injury prevention, and I made it through my first marathon.
My passion for running, alongside my understanding of anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics has blended with a lifelong fascination with psychology, to form the basis of my unique coaching style.
I continue updating my education regularly, and in 2020 I was among the founding cohort of the Elite Coach Mentorship run by Strength and Conditioning Education. I aim to complete my Level 4 Strength and Conditioning Coaching qualification with them very soon.
I look forward to continuing help you all feel top of your game in 2021!
