ABOUT JILL

My aim is to utilise the therapeutic benefits of Massage Therapy with a focused, yet holistic approach, helping you prioritise and maintain your own health, recover from injury or assist in managing chronic pain. But most importantly, to keep you moving and feeling at your very best.


I began my massage training in 2004 in my previous role as a Beauty Therapist, providing Swedish Massage and Hot Stone Massage treatments to clients throughout the Scottish Borders.

Massage was always my favourite treatment (Beauty wasn’t really my thing!) and as a keen runner I was always interested in how I could combine my interests.      

           

In 2015 I qualified as a Jog Leader with Scottish Athletics but I was still not really sure in which direction I was going!

Marathon training, and the injuries that came with it, provided the answer, as after working through the rehabilitation process, with the help of targeted massage treatments, I made it through my first marathon.

I was inspired to re-train and in April 2018 I achieved my long term goal of becoming a Remedial and Sports Massage Therapist after training with Scottish Massage Schools.

I continue updating my education regularly, completing a specialist Running Repairs course and learning the imovefreely technique, which I have been incorporating into your treatments.


I'm currently studying with Strength and Conditioning Education and aim to complete my Level 4 Strength and Conditioning Coaching qualification this year which will open up an entirely new way to help you keep enjoying the activities you love.
